MUSICIAN OHANA
Sharing in the musical journey.

Will Yokoyama, on the right, is an extraordinarily talented and schooled musician with a degree in performance bass guitar. He's active in the Hawaii music scene and recently played at the Hoku Hanohano Awards. Here's a picture of him bending my brain with jazz Modes and Inversions . . .  For music lessons, solo performances, or to hear Will Yokoyama's great local band. Contact Will .

One of our regular weekend acoustic jazz jams. This one at the Kaneohe music studio. The sound booth is in back. Fellow Songwriter, Ken Thompson to the upper left on 12 string, acoustic rhythm guitarist extraordinaire.        Upper Right - - - David Hanawahine on electric, usually plays his smooth jazz and Hawaiian licks on a 1957 Gibson hollowbody - here with me doing a community gig.     Lower Left  Al Perkins - talented "halau" musician with that deep Alfred Apaka style voice.

Above-Right Hawaii's multi-talented, Sonny Kalua, graced us with his musical skills. He's a professional musician and music teacher. You'd be hard pressed to find a more versatile and wonderful person for your club, party, or wedding reception.  Sonny also gives private lessons.   sonnykalua@mac.com  Sonny also teaches at the Kailua Music School.         Lower Left - Mahalo to Moon Kahele -  popular in the Hawaiian music scene. He plays awesome slack key guitar. Thanks for visiting and jamming at Ka'o'o studio. Contact him for some great island entertainment at www.moonkahele.com/

Here's an acoustic jam at Ken Thompson's music studio in Kailua. It has breathtaking views of the Koolaus and a huge stream front yard. Mahalo to Rick on blues-rock lead, David on jazz lead, Ken on rhythm, and visiting pros - Steve and Debbie (drums, guitar, and vocals). Also fellow songwriters. Thanks Debbie for the home baked grinds.
